SPAINLab es el nombre de la exhibición de España en la Bienal de Venecia de este año. Débora Mesa y Antón García-Abril, arquitectos a cargo de Ensamble Estudio, fueron los curadores de la exposición. En ella se presenta el trabajo de siete oficinas oficinas españolas, las que se destacan por su capacidad de innovación y de tomar riesgos, siguiendo un camino fuera de los estilos y modas. Se dio especial énfasis al proceso detrás del resultado final, dando acceso a las preguntas, emociones e incluso errores que se cometen a la hora de poder concretar alguna idea.
[Q!] -Inma E. Maluenda & Enrique Encabo- fue el encargado de editar el libro de la exhibición, donde presenta el trabajo, fotografías y entrevistas exclusivas realizadas a estas siete oficinas participantes: RCR Arquitectes, Selgascano, Urban Habitat / Barcelona City Council, SMAO, Menis Arquitectos, Cloud 9 y Ecosistema Urbano. Además de artículos, entrevistas y fotografías relacionadas a la temática de la exposición.

We are prepared to confront big challenges; we understand Architecture is many times a risky business.
We must innovate; our compromise as architects is to make things better. And so…
Our office is a productive lab, where we continuosly research and work hard to materialize our ideas, where the spatial experience at the servide of people is the ultimate goal.
